Carmel Valley Garden Club Welcomes you to our Club
The CVGC is a nonprofit organization that promotes gardening and education about gardening in our area. We organizevarious projects in our community throughout the year and make donations to local nonprofits from our Annual Garden Show profits to help beautify the community.
Our regular monthly meetings, which are both educational and social, are held on the 2nd Thursday each month at 6:45 p.m. at the Carmel Valley Community Center on Ford Road. Our membership and meetings are open to everyone with an interest in gardening. We issue an e-newsletter with timely tips for your gardening plus information on upcoming events.

Recent Events at the Club
The Annual Picnic at the Carmel Valley Community Park
was well attended this year. With many of new members attending, (we're now well over 200 members), we had quite a crowd. Club President Gordon Dill thanked all our members for creating such a tremendous Garden Show this year, and revved us up for next year's 50th. With our substantial net proceeds from the Show we were able to make donations totaling $9,000 to 6 local nonprofits, our fund for Rosie's Garden and a fund for our own special club projects. Organizations receiving donations were: Hidden Valley Music Seminars, all Saints Day School, Tolarcitos Elementary School PTO, MEarth, CVVIC, and Friends of Carmel Valley Library.
The highpoint of the event was the Dessert Competition, with five (4 shown below)intrepid judges facing down a groaning set of tables supporting incredible homemade sweets. Everyone came home a winner, especially those who tasted the desserts.
