History
The Carmel Valley Garden Club was founded in 1958 for gardeners to share information, further their knowledge, and have a good time. Our meetings feature experts who present gardening information pertinent to this area. Throughout the year we feature field trips to gardens or natural settings of interest to our members. We support various public gardens and community gardens in Carmel Valley through direct donations.
Our primary fundraiser is the annual Carmel Valley Garden Club Garden Show held each May. It features competitive plant and flower displays, demonstrations, a Silent Auction, a Children's Garden with lots of fun activities for all ages, a Photography Contest, and live music to accompany our outdoor cafe. Through the Garden Show we raise funds to donate to Carmel Valley non-profits who directly contribute to the beautification of our area. In the past those have included: CV Community Youth Center, Friends of CV Library, MEarth, Hidden Valley Music Seminars, CV Civic Improvement Committee, Tularcitos Elementary School Children's Garden.
